Sara Blaine sneak peek!

I'm amazed at the variety in the new Sara Blaine collections -- and that it's so easy to cross over and blend between collections! Check out this sneak preview of our Spring/Summer 2013 styles and let me know what you like. Oh, and turn up your speakers a bit to enjoy the chipper little song, too!

A few of these new styles have been pre-released to my Willow House store; the rest will be available April 1. In the meantime, here's a SALE to make your March happy!

And don't forget that the Willow House home & decor liquidation is on and prices continue to drop (everything is on sale)! Here's one of my favorite deals for this week -- our enameled cast iron Panini Grill & Press was originally $99.96, but is now just $20! It's in low stock, so act fast and check out the other great liquidation deals!

You can always order online, but I'm happy to help you with your order, as well. And I love to help my VIP Sara Blaine collectors get the most bling for their buck, so always contact me when placing your jewelry order when you can!

More Willow House weekly deal FAVES...

I'm loving this Willow House decor liquidation sale! I'm going to share a few more of my weekly deal faves with you this week...

First, isn't the Maribel Tabletop Clock just adorable? My daughter had been admiring this for quite a while, so it was one of her Christmas goodies. It's ten inches tall, a very nice height for a bookshelf, nightstand, or desktop. The vintage green color blends well with so many decors, and the styling is just classic. It's half-price at $20 this week.

Have you seen the Riverstone Stacking Platters? When I saw these in person at our first Willow House National Convention, I knew I had to have them. These are beautifully designed in a classic color palette with all the details a fine European dinnerware. I use these every chance I get; the rest of the time, they are a lovely addition to my china cabinet display. The set of three platters is just $30 this week (Riverstone place settings are on sale, as well). These platters coordinates well with our Eclipse Reversible Riser, also a current weekly deal.

Now I don't own this last product (because I already have two beautiful Willow House Olive Jars), but I've sold plenty of them. The Bountiful Urn is a statement piece and a half! Designed by Gail Pittman, this hand-painted piece stands alone just fine, or you can add branches or flowers to add height and even more style. Perfect on a mantle, hearth, china cabinet, side table... you name it! Just $13 while they last this week.

Don't forget about the other division of Willow House -- Sara Blaine Jewelry! Don't miss the great sale on bracelets thru the end of February -- 25% off! Only a couple of days left, so don't miss out!

Willow House Decor liquidation... some faves

I wanted to share some of my favorite products that are currently really discounted in the Willow House outlet. (Just a reminder, all decor items are currently being liquidated!)

Just before Christmas, I purchased the Trellis Planter Holders set. Honestly, I had no idea what I would do with these -- they were just so pretty that I knew I'd find something (if my daughter didn't swipe them for her room first!). When we hosted a Christmas open house, I decided to put them in the guest bathroom. I filled the larger holder with rolled up washcloths and hand towels, and I was happy to see that a roll of toilet paper fit perfectly in the smaller holder. Beautiful and functional! The Trellis Planter Holders is currently just $5 for the set of 2. (By the way, they are metal and can be spray painted if you'd like a different look.)

Aren't the little Avery Birdhouses just adorable? I've had several sets of these over the last couple of years and just keep giving them away! I love to tuck an encouraging note or a photo reminder of a special memory in little ring and sending it to someone special. Currently, I have one sitting on my kitchen window sill holding a sweet valentine my daughter made for me -- I can look at it every time I wash the dishes (which is often right now, as our dishwasher is on the fritz). The Avery Birdhouse Trio also makes great placemarkers for parties (and would be a great favor to send home with your guests). They also provide a cute way to label food for a buffet. Between parties, simply tuck them into a bookshelf or on a table to add a little fun to your decor. The Avery Birdhouse Trio is also currently $5.

Can I just say that I think the Italian Stitch Ramekins are just perfect? I've had my ramekins for three or four years now and have used them for so many things. If I eat ice cream at home, my husband scoops it very generously for me... I've asked him to use an Italian Stitch Ramekin because it's the perfect serving size (without going overboard!). I also use them for pretty portions such as granola, trail mix, grapes, whatever! They work perfectly for serving condiments -- sauces, salsas, sprinkles -- for any buffet. And don't just limit them to the kitchen! I've had a couple on my desk with paper clips and binder clips. They'd be great in the bathroom for cotton balls and swabs -- you could even fill one with whole coffee beans and stand up your make-up brushes in it for some stylish organization! A set of two Italian Stitch Ramekins is currently just $5.50.

Isn't the Decorative Card and Photo Display such a pretty way to show off cards and photos? One thing I love about it is that it's actually two pieces! You can link them together to hang over a door, or you can separate them to hang side-by-side on a wall. Here's what I did: I've hung one section over my laundry-room door (it opens into the kitchen), where it was perfect to display Christmas cards and pictures. During the rest of the year, I post pretty notes, special photos, and little cards I've collected. The other half lives in my daughter's room as an inspiration board. It's a constantly evolving display of colors, patterns, and fancy handwriting practice there. Sometimes, she uses it as a jewelry display/organizer, hanging necklaces and earrings from it. The Decorative Card and Photo Display is currently just $15.00.

There are so many more deals to be had -- these are just a few of my favorites that I've been enjoying for a while. Be sure to check out our Weekly Deals -- they are updated each Monday morning (and the deals are so hot that some sell out quickly! To learn about the deals as they happen, be sure to follow my Willow House Facebook Page (I'm much better about updating it than this blog!)

And I can't leave without reminding you about the other division of Willow House -- Sara Blaine Jewelry! Don't miss the great sale on bracelets this month -- 25% off!

Amelia Deal!

Among all of the wonderful weekly deals going on (Feb 4-10, 2013), I'm especially loving the Amelia collection pieces. The Amelia Beaded Glass Trio is currently just $5.00 (reg. $27) and the matching Tray is only $10.00 (reg. $25).

These pieces are incredibly versatile. Because they are simply designed in glass, they fit well in any decor from classic to cottage to modern. And whether you opt to use these Amelia pieces for decorating, as serveware, or to organize a space, they can work well as a team or split up. You'll probably find yourself using them for different things in different seasons.

I love the wedding table decor in the upper right corner -- this was actually taken from a Willow House stylist's wedding!

Be sure to check back at the outlet for next week's weekly deals starting on Monday. And to keep up with all the deals, be sure to like my Willow House Facebook page and check to receive notifications!

Happy shopping!

Mystery Deal - Jan 16, 2013 only!

Today (1/16/13) only, the Petite Arrange-It-Easy Vase is just $5 (reg $25)! This vase is as versatile as it is beautiful. With Valentine's day coming up, it's a lovely and easy way to arrange those flowers from your sweetie (tip: by several vases and split the bouquet to spread the love around to different rooms of the house). But it's not just limited to flower arranging...

How about a few for your bathroom? Use two with the "frog" in place -- one for toothbrushes, one for your makeup brushes. Then use two more without the "frog" for qtips and cotton balls. Organization can be pretty, you know!

And don't forget your desktop or home office. Keep flowers in one, even if they are permanent flowers (flowers always, always make work more fun), use another for pens and pencils.

I'm sure you can think of even more uses -- and I'd love to hear them!

In the meantime, enjoy today's Mystery Deal -- and be sure to buy multiples for yourself and/or for gifts; once your shopping cart reaches $40, you'll be eligible to purchase a customer special.
You can shop more Willow House decor and jewelry products online here.

Resolve to organize -- beautifully!

I've admired the both the Wireweave Basket Trio and the Must Have Mini Markers since their introduction at our Willow House convention a couple of summers ago. The simple beauty and versatility of each product struck me immediately. I'm envisioning the Must Have Mini Markers removed from their stems and tied to the Wireweave Baskets with pretty bakers twine. Can you see it?

And these lovelies have never been available at a better price -- just $65 (plus tax and shipping) for all!

(For more on taking advantage of customer specials, see this post.)

Willow House Weekly Deals: Nov. 26 - Dec. 2

I wanted to give you all a quick heads up on some amazing weekly deals over in my e-outlet right now through Sunday, December 2!

My personal favorites include the Gail Pittman hand-painted salt and pepper shakers in Provence for just $2! You should note that these are also available at this great price in the Sienna color, which is a red and gold theme.

I also think the 8-qt stainless steel stock-pot with lid is a great deal at just $35. I bought one of these over a year ago and I love it. It's heavy-duty, heats evenly, and is easy to clean up. Perfect for those winter soups, as well as for canning.

And one more highlight -- this one is already marked low stock -- is the Florentine Paper Towel Caddy, priced at $7.50 this week! It's beautiful in the kitchen or laundry room, but you might want a couple of extras, too. Think about one to stow extra toilet paper in the guest bath, and another to store your ribbon spools in your craft area.

Remember that your purchase of outlet deals can qualify you for a regular-priced item at half off -- see my current customer specials for details.

And don't miss my Black Friday & Beyond Giveaway, open for entries thru 11/29/12! If you've already entered, don't forget to pop back over for some return entries!

The Angel on the Shelf

This is a re-post from last year that I thought you  might enjoy!

Don't you just love holiday traditions? My mom was always big on little traditions... like having one gift for us to open on Christmas Eve, like always having an orange and nuts in our Christmas stockings, like making sure a sweet little Valentine card awaited us at breakfast...

Here's a new tradition that your family will just love: find the Christmas angel. Angels played such an important role in the nativity, acting as God's messengers of truth in revealing His plan. One way to keep the focus on CHRISTmas this year is to use an angel as a reminder of the reason for the season.

On the first night of your new tradition (you  might want to time this to do the third Scripture reading on Christmas Eve), bring out your angel to show your children. Read through Luke 1:26-38 aloud with your children. Help them understand that the angel was serving God by bringing a very important message to Mary. Ask your children:
  • Do you think Mary was surprised to see the angel?
  • What did the angel tell Mary?
  • What was Mary's response?
Now tell your children that you have an angel surprise for them. In the morning, when they wake up, they should look around the house for your angel. It might be on a shelf, a table, or even in a cupboard. Perhaps the child who finds the angel can be your special messenger that day, letting the family know when meals are ready, delivering notes, etc.

For several more nights, continue to review what you read in Luke 1 and remind your children to look for the angel each morning. When you are ready, read Matthew 1:18-25 aloud with your children. Ask them:
  • What had Joseph planned to do?
  • What did the angel tell Joseph?
  • What was Joseph's response?
Continue reviewing what you've read and hiding (often in plain sight) the angel for several more nights. Then, for your final reading, read through Luke 2:1-20 with your children. After reading, ask your children:
  • How did the shepherds feel when they saw the angel?
  • What did the angel tell them?
  • What happened next?
  • How did the shepherds respond?
If you read the final reading on Christmas Eve, you will "hide" the angel one more time. Perhaps this time you could hide it near a nativity or your Christmas tree -- somewhere the family might gather on Christmas morning. Once the family is gathered together, review -- even reread -- the passages you've shared together, "glorifying and praising God for all that {you} have heard and seen..." just as the shepherds did.

You can use any angel you happen to have for this tradition. The angel shown above is the Willow House Herald Angel, available for a limited time. For those purchasing through my online store or by contacting me directly, I'll be happy to email you an attractive, printable copy of the Angel on the Shelf tradition suggestions. I hope this will help make the Christmas season more meaningful for your family!

Shopping for Shelly

Some of you may remember an online Willow House benefit I hosted for my sister-in-law, Michele, last May. Michele's condition has progressed to pre-leukemia, and she now requires a bone marrow transplant (my husband is blessed to be able to donate marrow through peripheral blood stem cells). You can read about Michele and her situation on my Princapecos blog.

In light of this, I'm hosting another online Willow House benefit to help Michele and her husband, Tim, meet the expenses involved.

To participate in this fundraiser, simply visit either of my online Willow House stores, Style for Home or Jewelry by Sara Blaine, place an order using Michele Fetz as your host, and I'll donate my entire commission from your order directly to Michele. Style for Home orders over $39.96 are still eligible for a customer special, and even e-outlet orders count! If you need help or prefer to order by phone, let me know.

I'd love for you to share this opportunity with your family and friends, too. If you have several folks who'd like to participate, I'll even set you up as host and let you earn host rewards. Contact me for details.

If you prefer not to shop but would still like to donate, let me know and I'll help you take care of that, too.

Above all, we would appreciate your prayers through this long process. There are scores of people involved in making this happen, from Michele's family to the Fisher House folks to the teams of professionals at NIH. But ultimately, we know that all of this rests in the Lord's hands.

Adorn a Door -- and Yourself -- for Spring

It's spring here in Georgia. It feels a bit like summer, but the high pollen count reminds me that it is actually spring (ah-choo!). Spring is actually my favorite time of year, perhaps because it was the one season that seemed unique in my Arizona upbringing.

A door bucket is a great way to provide a springtime welcome for your friends and family! One of my favorite door buckets is the Willow House Flower Market Door Bucket. This versatile bucket has sleek lines, a subtle but lovely design on the front, and a distinctive yet neutral moss bronze finish. I'm a bit lazy with mine, using faux greens all year long and just adding in a bit of seasonal color as needed.

On the other hand, Sarah over at Thrifty Decor Chick has done a fabulous job of bringing spring to her door by using cuttings from her own yard in her own Flower Market Door Bucket. I love the look -- and the fact that she provides a great step-by-step tutorial to help you get a similar look! Be sure to hop over to her blog to get all the details (and browse around, as I know you'll love her great ideas)! I just noticed that Sarah has paired her door bucket with the Must Have Door Hanger -- you can get the pair for a special price!)

But the front door is not the only thing needing adorning this spring -- I love pulling out my lighter, brighter spring clothes! And what better way to adorn your wardrobe than with fresh spring jewelry? I mean, spring... bling... they must rhyme for a reason!

I'm loving the sneak peaks of the new lines for Willow House Jewelry by Sara Blaine; it's fresh without being here-today-gone-tomorrow trendy. See for yourself...

Lovely Layla necklace and bracelet:

Fresh addition to the Bali Scroll collection:

These new products will be available April 1 at my online Willow House jewelry store! The Flower Market Door Bucket is available in my Style for Home online store now -- purchase the door bucket or the bucket/hanger set and you'll qualify for our pick-your-own customer special!

Secret weapon: cheesecloth!

Our friends over at Plate & Pattern have done it again. Who knew cheesecloth could be so spooky? (Hop over and check out their post and the rest of this will make more sense.)

What I love most about this post is the way it really got me thinking... tinted cheesecloth could be used so many ways. Think about what it would add to the table at a wedding reception, bridal shower, birthday party, baby shower, just about any event! Of course, your theme might not be spooky, but the cheesecloth could easily be tinted to so many different shades -- and probably with something you already have on hand. I'm thinking coffee, tea (so many shades there), fruit juice, even food coloring (we all know these things are pretty doggone colorfast because we've had to treat clothing stains, right?).

I'm thinking about my winter decor, as well. I love the idea of snow, but I'm not crazy about the mess of the stuff (real or faux). But a fluffy swash of white cheescloth across that mantle or console could give the illusion of snow without all the fuss. What about cheesecloth inside of a hurricane with twinkle lights? My, possibilities are endless!

You're creative -- what ideas can you add?

The Lyric Candelabra is available in my Willow House online store.
